Policy Statement

The success of Recovery Illustrated Magazine (Publisher) relies on advertising revenue generated for crossover media business. While advertisers are actively solicited, and we strive to develop mutually beneficial relationships with advertisers, there are also circumstances when advertisers would not be approved.

This policy sets out the criteria that defines approved advertisers, and communicates the required procedures for correctly submitting material for advertisements.

Definitions

Advertiser: For purposes of this policy, an advertiser is a person, business entity, or representative agency who purchases or trades an advertisement with any Recovery Illustrated publication.

Advertisement: An advertisement is any form of public media that promotes a product, service, event, or publicizes a job.

Insertion Order: An official document representing a commitment from the advertiser to run a campaign in the stated publications.

Advertisement Submission Policy

Recovery Illustrated, Inc. (Publisher) reserves the right to reject any advertisement not meeting the standards of acceptance of Recovery Illustrated, Inc. The standards of acceptance are at the discretion of the Editorial staff.

All advertisements must be bound by an insertion order prior to inclusion in any publication. The submission order must be signed by the advertiser and approved by Publisher.

All advertisements are accepted and published by Publisher on the warranty of the agency and advertiser that both are authorized to publish the entire contents and subject matter of the advertisement.

In consideration of publication of an advertisement, the advertiser and the agency, jointly and severally, agree to indemnify and hold harmless Publisher, its officers, agents and employees against expenses (including legal fees) and losses resulting from the publication of the contents of the advertisement, including, without limitation, claims or suits for libel, violation of privacy, copyright infringement or plagiarism.

The inclusion of advertisements in Recovery Illustrated publications does not imply endorsement of the advertised products or services by the Publisher. Recovery Illustrated, Inc. shall not be responsible for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the presence of such advertisements.

Publisher will not be liable for any failure to publish any advertisement accepted by Publisher; however, Publisher shall use its reasonable efforts to place such advertisement in subsequent available space.

Any references to Publisher or its products or services in advertisements, promotional material or merchandising by the advertiser or agency is subject to Publisher’s written approval for such use.

Publisher cannot guarantee fixed positioning of advertisements. All advertising contract position clauses are treated as requests.

Publisher is not responsible for incidental or consequential damage for errors in displaying or printing an advertisement. Credit for errors may not exceed the cost of the advertisement.

In the event of nonpayment, Publisher reserves the right to hold advertiser and/or its advertising agency jointly and severally liable for such monies as are past due and payable to Publisher.

Publisher may change the terms set forth in the insertion order at any time, provided that no such change applies to ads whose closing date precedes the announcement of the change.
